Matthias Vercruysse is an Economist and Strategic Entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in global energy markets and industrial innovation. As the CEO of Idfabric Tanzania Ltd and a Partner at Verali Management, he specializes in transforming complex market dynamics into sustainable, high-impact business solutions.
Mr. Vercruysse holds a Master's in Economics, with a specialized focus on the economies of developing countries—a discipline that has informed his professional approach to market entry and community-focused industrialization. Before pivoting to sustainable manufacturing, he spent nearly two decades as a leading Energy Trader. His career culminated in becoming a Partner in the London office for one of the world's largest independent trading firms, where he managed high-stakes operations and large-scale international portfolios.
A lifelong traveler with a global perspective, Mr. Vercruysse first visited Tanzania 31 years ago. His enduring connection to the country led him to establish a successful tourism business and, in 2019, launch Idfabric Tanzania Ltd. Under his leadership, Idfabric has become a pioneer in the circular economy, specializing in industrial plastic recycling and innovative container conversions. Through brands like "Soulbox" and "ChakaWood," he provides eco-friendly infrastructure that bridges European technical standards with Tanzanian ingenuity.
At Verali, Mr. Vercruysse leverages his deep institutional knowledge of global trade and his 30-year history with East Africa to guide sustainable investments. His work focuses on the intersection of operational excellence and environmental stewardship, ensuring that growth in the hospitality and tourism sectors contributes directly to a more resilient planet.
Tabitha Ssali is a Chemical Engineer and MBA with a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and an expertise in generating solutions for businesses through market analysis, operational excellence and strategic implementation of process controls. She earned an MBA in Marketing and Masters in International Business in 2000 which she has used to enhance her technical knowledge to support business strategy development and change management in both business and manufacturing environments.
Ms. Ssali has spent 20 years in the food and beverage industry working with International Hotels, National Chain Restaurants, and Food Production companies both internally and as a consultant. This experience has equipped Ms. Ssali with skills in deriving solutions to elevate an organizations ability to meet its immediate goals as well as create strategies for future growth.
The past 5 years Ms. Ssali has focused on economic strategies to enhance opportunities in developing countries in the areas of sustainable tourism, hospitality, food production, and foreign market entry via importing on the continent of Africa.
